Tests for Women

Consider an assessment if you have been trying to conceive for 12 months (or 6 months if the woman is over 35), or if you have irregular cycles, known reproductive issues, or a history of pregnancy loss.
Common tests include AMH (ovarian reserve), antral follicle count on ultrasound, a hormone panel (FSH, LH, TSH, prolactin), and assessment of the uterus and fallopian tubes.
A semen analysis is the primary test, evaluating sperm count, motility and morphology. Further hormonal or genetic tests may be advised based on the results.
Most tests are simple blood tests, an ultrasound, or a semen sample. They are quick and minimally uncomfortable.
